Open letter to iPad apps

| February 26, 2011 | 12 Comments

Dear iPad Apps:

I’m on to you and your cute little apps. I love the way that you offer them for free only to get the user hooked so that they must buy the full version.

Also, what’s up with all those great kids’ games? You know my three year old loves the iPad.

I realize that 99-cents isn’t much for a child’s educational app. However, it’s all fun and games until you get an iTunes receipt for $33.78.

Love,
Jackie

PS–See you later! I need some more games.

When asked what my soon to be 3 year old niece needs for her birthday, my brother said her own iPad. She has taken over my sister-in-laws. Their 1 year old hasn’t quite figured it out yet, but knows she has to slide her hand across the screen.

My poor daughter has to make do with her own iPod Touch. She just got upgraded from a 1st gen with no external speakers to a 2nd. My husband wants to get an iPhone so he can give her is brand new 4th gen iPod Touch.

PS–I probably shouldn’t admit that I’ve put THREE FOLDERS full of apps on there for my 3 year old… :o\

3 pages of apps is nothing compared to her own ipod touch since age 3.5
